A Unified Roadshow Experience for CrowdStrike Across Sydney and Melbourne

Project Brief

PDK Events engaged us to design a fresh, impactful look for CrowdStrike’s annual cybersecurity conference roadshow across Melbourne and Sydney. The goal was to deliver a consistent visual identity and high-end execution for the US brand, despite two completely different venues and no additional budget for the year.

Challenges & Approach

The two venues, the Hyatt Regency in Sydney and the MCC in Melbourne, posed significantly different design challenges: Melbourne’s MCEC offered a large theatre-style space with very high ceilings, while the Hyatt Regency Sydney featured a wide, low-roofed, lightly curved room. Achieving a unified design language across such contrasting environments required careful technical planning.

To help manage the budget constraint, we used specialised media processing software that enabled a single projector to feed two separate projection surfaces - cutting hardware costs without compromising quality. In Sydney, we built custom-ratio, borderless screens to match the proportions used in Melbourne, preserving the consistency and premium feel of the overall look.

Outcome

The roadshow delivered a cohesive, modern visual identity across both cities, with staging and content that felt intentional and on-brand despite the radically different spaces. Smart technical choices and tailored screen solutions allowed us to maintain design continuity while staying within budget, resulting in a polished, high-impact experience for CrowdStrike’s attendees.
