NSS 2026 at ICC Sydney

Project Brief

NSS 2026 was a multi-day conference and a gala dinner held at ICC Sydney, delivered for a large delegate audience across plenary sessions, breakout rooms, workshops, exhibition areas and speaker preparation spaces. Live Productions worked alongside The Production House Events and the ICC team and provided, technical direction, audiovisual production support and on-demand recording.

The production scope covered the main plenary, three breakout rooms, workshop spaces, exhibition support, speaker preparation, a gala dinner and coordinated technical delivery across the venue. The event required a practical live event production approach that could support a busy program while keeping the delegate experience consistent from room to room.

Challenges & Approach

The main challenge was coordination. NSS took place across several rooms and formats, with a program that required reliable technical systems, clear communication and strong onsite management. The team needed to deliver the main stage experience while also supporting smaller rooms, speaker preparation and recording requirements.

The production approach focused on practical room planning, dependable equipment choices and clear technical direction across each space. Rather than overcomplicating the design, the team used simple visual details, including a pink stage carpet and LED lighting accents, to lift the presentation environment while keeping the setup efficient and manageable.

The event also landed during a busy delivery period, so preparation and crew coordination were important. The team balanced planning, onsite delivery and room-to-room consistency to make sure the program could run smoothly across all three days.

Outcome

NSS 2026 was delivered successfully across the full three-day program. Plenary sessions, breakout rooms, workshops, speaker preparation and recording support were managed without major technical or logistical issues.

The event was expertly driven on stage by professional MC Andrew Klien who ensured the plenay conference sessions and the gala dinner ran to time and with the humour and ease that Anrew Klien always delivers.

Gala entertainment was delivered by Rush Entertainment with a spectacular aerialist and high energy band.

The result was a clean, professional conference experience that supported both the client team and the delegates. The client response was positive, and planning conversations for the following year have already started, showing the value of a calm, well-planned technical production approach.
