EcoLab Townhall at the Pan Pacific

This event was high-profile internal town hall for an international corporate client at the Pan Pacific Melbourne. The event coincided with the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix andfeatured a guest appearance by Australian F1 driver Oscar Piastri. Our production scope included a bespoke structural design, a comprehensive audiovisual production package, and a professional live stream to engage over 400 remote team members who were unable to attend in person.

Challenges & Approach

‍The primary technical challenge centered on the structural integration within the venue. With precise spatial requirements, and low margin for error, the site visits and CAD drawings were particularly important. The project required a high degree of accuracy to manage the bare truss aesthetic while ensuring the safety and stability of the rig during the lifting phase.

Departing from traditional corporate draping, we opted for a raw, bare truss look to provide a modern, industrial feel that complemented the high-energy F1 theme. To solve the challenge of inclusivity for remote staff, we provided a full multi camera live stream. Led by Nathan Crossland, Michael Dal Molin, Kenton Reeder, and Dino Losi, the onsite team managed the delicate balance of high-stakes VIP stage management and real-time broadcast delivery, ensuring the technical execution was seamless for both the live audience and the 400 virtual attendees.

‍The event was a significant success, marked by the seamless integration of the VIP guest and the flawless performance of the live broadcast. The bare truss design received positive feedback for its unique aesthetic, proving that technical structural elements can serve as an effective visual centerpiece in a corporate setting.

The client reported high levels of engagement from both the local and remote teams, with the production quality reflecting the importance of the town hall. Following the success of the technical delivery and the smooth handling of high-profile talent, we are already preparing to support this event in the coming years.
