Harcourts HX26 Conference at The Star Gold Coast
Live Productions delivered conference AV and 360-degree projection for Harcourts Australia’s internal conference and gala dinner at The Star Gold Coast, supporting a complex in-the-round event build for approximately 600 attendees.

Project Brief
Harcourts Australia held a large internal conference at The Star Gold Coast for approximately 600 attendees from across the real estate industry. Live Productions worked with Total Event to support the corporate event production, including audiovisual production, event staging, projection, lighting, PA, camera systems, media servers and technical direction.
The brief was to create a high-impact conference environment that felt immersive in the room and strong on camera. A major part of the design was 360-degree projection , supported by audio in the round, more than 100 metres of projection surface and 12 high-output 4K projectors.
Challenges & Approach
The main production challenge was achieving the scale of the visual design within the technical and rigging limits of the venue. The event involved a complex build in a tricky room, with a 360-degree projection environment, audio in the round and a layout that needed to work for the audience, presenters, cameras and creative moments.
The project also required the team to respond to issues as they came up onsite, including rigging challenges, equipment failures and long build days. These were not planning issues, but the kind of practical problems that can appear when a complex design is being delivered for the first time in a specific venue. The response was to keep the production thinking clear: solve the immediate issue, protect the show outcome and keep the wider crew moving.
The final approach relied on close coordination between Live Productions, Total Event, the Harcourts events team, the venue AV team at The Star Gold Coast and other specialist partners. Projection, lighting, PA, camera and media server systems were planned around the physical constraints of the space so the room felt cohesive rather than like separate technical elements layered together.
Outcome
The final result was a polished conference environment and a spectacular gala dinner awards night with strong visual impact throughout the room. The 360-degree projection helped give the event scale, while the integrated lighting, audio, camera and media systems supported the presentations and live moments without distracting from the program.
The event included standout moments such as an opening performance by Stan Walker, keynote presentations from Mushabi Mutuma, Holly Ransom, Dr Dianne Mcgrath and the Harcourts CEO Mike Green arriving on a Harley Davidson! It was a huge team effort across technical, creative, venue and client teams, with Ben Bray leading the concept-to-delivery work for Live Productions. Feedback from the client and event team was positive, with early conversations already beginning about supporting the event again next year.
